TCGIVES WAS BORN IN MEMORY OF KATHLEEN K. SCHOEMAKER WHO LOST HER BATTLE TO PANCREATIC CANCER IN 2006. TCGIVES WILL RAISE MONEY TO PROMOTE PROGRESS IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PANCREATIC CANCER IN HONOR OF KATHLEEN. EVERY YEAR, MORE THAN 62,000 AMERICANS ARE DIAGNOSED WITH PANCREATIC CANCER, THE THIRD-LEADING CAUSE OF CANCER DEATH IN THE COUNTRY. THROUGH FUNDRAISING EFFORTS TCGIVES, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH JEFFERSON'S SIDNEY KIMMEL CANCER CENTER, WANT TO GIVE THE GIFT OF HOPE TO PATIENTS AND FAMILIES MET WITH A DIAGNOSIS OF PANCREATIC CANCER.
