Mission

The Spring Hill Community Empowerment Center of Virginia, Inc. (SHCEC) was founded by the Spring Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone, Virginia with the goal of putting God’s love into action through the provision of direct services, programs and information resources to residents of the communities of Blackstone, Burkeville, Crewe and Nottoway County, Virginia. Our mission is to empower seniors, families, individuals, youth, and children, regardless of their socio-economic status, to grow, prosper, and limit risk factors that restrict their capacity to achieve success. SHCEC strives to promote an inclusive organizational culture that values diversity, strengthens inclusion, and builds a strong local community. Services are provided to all regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof.
