Mission
The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science is a community of dedicated people who support the Weizmann Institute’s crucial mission: science for the benefit of humanity. On the Weizmann Institute campus in Rehovot, Israel, nearly 5,000 scientists, graduate students, and staff work to solve the most challenging problems facing humankind. For over 80 years, the Institute has had a global impact in fighting cancer, advancing technology, enriching education, protecting our planet, improving health and medicine, and exploring the physical world. The American Committee develops philanthropic funding for the Institute, educates the American public about the Institute’s research, and represents the Institute’s interests in the U.S.
