Mission

Purpose of the Foundation is to generate, protect and manage endowment assets for Cincinnati Museum Center and National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

Additionally, the Foundation holds assets for the Ohio Statutory Hall Commission. In 2012 the Ohio General Assembly and Governor acted to select Thomas Edison as the next Ohioan to be memorialized in the United States Capitol’s National Statuary Hall. The Ohio Statuary Hall Commission was formed to act upon their decision, and is now working to raise the necessary funds for completing the project. The estimated cost for programming, creating and installing a statue in Edison’s likeness is $800,000. A grand celebration of Edison’s achievements will be held at the conclusion of this effort in the U.S. Capitol.
